About the Founder
Ivanka Tran
Co-Founder, Tran Jafari Ventures
Ivanka started in accounting — building the financial discipline and analytical rigour that most investors and operators never develop. She moved into investment analysis, where she learned to evaluate businesses not just by their numbers, but by the structural dynamics that determine whether a company compounds or stagnates.
Her work in property operations gave her a ground-level understanding of how assets perform in practice — the gap between what looks good on a spreadsheet and what actually holds up through market cycles. In parallel, her experience in business development sharpened her thinking on how organisations grow, where capital allocation decisions get made, and what separates durable businesses from opportunistic ones.
She founded Tran Jafari Ventures because she kept noticing the same pattern: intelligent professionals making major financial decisions — career pivots, investment entries, property purchases — without a complete picture of how those decisions connected.
